Good lord!! Todays edition of the FEC filings for the 3rd quarter of the election cycle shows a number of Democratic challengers that already have their campaign machines humming nicely. In fact, the two big champions for this quarter appear to be North Carolina's Heath Shuler and Florida's Ron Klein, BOTH of whom outraised their incumbent opponents for the quarter. This is no small feat, given the fact that Charlie Taylor and Clay Shaw are known to be formidable fundraisers.
Also, Brad Ellsworth (IN 08) followed up a very impressive 2Q report with an even STRONGER 3Q report.
