I came across a PDA (Progressive Democrats of America) endorsement for a candidate running for congress in '06 for Michigan's 11th District. His name is Tony Trupiano. From the limited information I have at this point, appears he is outspokenly progressive on several issues: the war, education, trade, taxes, and healthcare. From the write up I've seen, he would be challenging incumbent, McCotter, who has voted "with the GOP caucus 90% of the time and voted with Rep. Tom Delay 92% of the time."
Appears Trupiano would be a progressive Democrat for this district. His website is in the process of being set up. Anyone have any further information on this race and on any other candidates? Seems this might be a good race to follow. Would appreciate feedback. (Sorry about the incorrect information I had in this in the beginning. I mistakenly thought McCotter was also a Democrat. My big mistake. Thanks for correcting me. Would still like any information on how Trupiano looks as a viable candidate from those who might know something about this district.)
